1 - Applied Research

Since the late 1980s, our commitment to serving the increasing needs of the construction industry and to preserving the environment has led us to become a pioneer in the development of high performance specialty cement materials in South East Asia.

Some of the innovative improvements made to the production process have been widely recognised by the industry. For example, EnGro was awarded a patent for our high-pressure roller press system in November 2000, which can produce different grades of high performance slag cement comprising highly consistent fine-ground slag particles that meet stringent and varied performance specifications.

In 2000, we were also the proud recipient of a patent award for our integral waterproofing solution, SmartPruf MSF. This expanded our suite of 'Smart' products, which offer leading-edge solutions for marine infrastructure applications.

 

We continue to invest in R&D and process engineering for both Building Materials and Specialty Polymer to broaden our spectrum of product offerings. This will allow us to develop high performance products with added functionalities at extremely competitive costs.

High-pressure Roller Press for Slag Grinding

This system is the most efficient in the market, offering premium product quality and consistency. Raw materials are crushed using a custom designed high-pressure roller press system consisting of a moveable roller and a fixed roller.
Patented in year 2000, the improved process has many benefits:
· Superior quality in terms of particle size distribution
· Consistency of end product
· Low energy consumption
· Stable and robust system

The patented High-pressure Roller Press grinding process is the brainchild of creative thinking and process engineering experience - a combination we're proud to own. This technological breakthrough exemplifies our commitment to providing end-to-end solutions, and at delivering the best value to our customers and partners.

High Gravity Controlled Precipitation (HGCP) Platform

As we continue to develop and enhance our process capabilities, we aim to extend such expertise into manufacturing of nano-particulates. Through its investment in NanoMaterials Technology Pte Ltd (www.nanomt.com), EnGro intends to leverage upon the HGCP Platfom in the synthesis and large-scale production of nano-sized particles that can be applied in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Electronics sectors.
